Stall Holders

We are active members of the Victorian Farmers’ Market Association and will be applying for accreditation as soon as it is ready to offer to existing farmers’ markets. By their guidelines, our markets must have 90% accredited stallholders and the other 10% must demonstrate to Melbourne Community Farmers' Markets their relevance to attend illustrating direct support for Victorian farmers and primary produce.

Please read the Key Points for Accreditation and determine if you meet the criteria. If you choose to apply, please select the relevant application forms to complete and return to the VFMA office. This is the first step to be involved with Melbourne Community Farmers' Markets. If you do not meet the criteria, we will not be able to offer you a place at our markets.

There are currently about 1000 small, regional businesses attending Melbourne Community Farmers' Markets and until the accreditation process is completed, we do not anticipate taking on anymore stall holders. You are welcomed to submit an Expression Of Interest. Please do not expect a response before the end of 2009.

If you are a manufacturer, we are happy to receive your information but please note, we can only consider applications from makers who grow their own ingredients or source a significant proportion of their ingredients a/ from other stallholders or b/ direct from local growers in their region. We cannot accept any more condiments, cakes or confectionery. Any stalls currently trading in these goods at the markets are either a community-run fundraiser or only there on an occasional basis. There are occasional exceptions for staple household food such as bread.

When you complete and forward the Accreditation application to the VFMA office, please also complete the Expression Of Interest & return by email or post to Melbourne Community Farmers' Markets 46 Kongwak Rd, Bena 3946.
